Let It Snow

Well as you all my know, we got some serious snow in Oregon the last week. School was closed, and the roads were awful. What I thought was going to last for a day, ended up sticking around for more than a week. We were all getting tired of the snow, even the kids!! Here are a few shots..

Santa Noooo

Last weekend we took Braedyn to see Santa land by Helicopter at the Baseball stadium here in Keizer. After a successful landing the kids were able to sit on Santa's lap, which Braedyn was all ready to do. We waited in the cold for twenty minutes, and then finally it was Braedyn's turn. One look at the main man, and it was over. There was no way he was going to sit on Santa's lap, even with mom sitting next to the big guy. So needless to say the picture is of Braedyn freaking out!!!

Go Big Blue!!

Darian recently finished his first year of high school football, which overall his team did great only loosing three games! Darian had fun, but did quickly learn that in high school you don't get to play as much as you do in middle school. I got a couple of shots, but wasn't able to get any of him playing. Darian is number 3 in the photo's..

Fall Has Come
Well the weather is cooling down a bit here in Oregon, but still surprisingly warm. The kids are already getting excited about Christmas, and what Santa will bring (ok well Braedyn anyways)! Darian just finished his first year of high school Football, and did very well. Although I didn't get to see him play as much as I would have liked, it was neat getting to see him out there with his team. He had a few rough spats, and times when he wanted to give up, but he stuck it out. Arieana is doing well, just trying to get adjusted to the level of work in 4th grade. She recently won a "Responsibility" award at her new school. Braedyn is gearing up to go into the 4's classroom next month, which will mean new big boys to meet. So all is well here in Oregon, just getting used to our new home and looking forward to decorating for Christmas..

Finally
Ok so I haven't posted anything in a long time, since life has been super busy. We finally moved into our own home, and have been busy settling in. I forgot how much work it is to move, and how expensive! I will get some pictures of the house very soon, so that everyone can see it..

Look at him go
The last few days have been pretty hot here, so we decided to go swimming again. Braedyn has really gotten the hang of swimming in his "super hero" suite. He can swim across a pool with little to no help from mom, it is super cool to watch. Big sis was even impressed with his skills, soon he will be out swimming her. I had to carefully catch him on video, but is was worth it.

Summer
Well school is out, and the sun has finally arrived. I am off all this week,so the kiddos and I have been having some fun. Between birthday parties, and Slip and Slide the kids have been pretty busy. Yesterday we went to the Dallas Aquatic Park, which is an indoor pool center. The kids had a lot of fun sliding th down the slide, and jumping from the diving board. I bought Braedyn a Speedo body suit, which has body floaters inside. At first he hated the suit, but about ten minutes before we left he was swimming on his own from one side of the pool to the other. He was very happy with himself, and even impressed the older two. I think we're going to see a movie tomorrow, which mom will get stuck watching some kind of cartoon movie. But I guess sometimes you have to take one for the team :) I will try to get some pictures soon..

Wass Up
Well it's been awhile since I have posted anything, life has been just to busy.. The kids are all well, just getting ready for school to end. Darian will be going to High School next year, HELLO SCARY!!!! It's hard to believe that he is going to be a freshman, and have things like prom and stuff to attend. My hope is that he will enjoy high school, and do all the things I didn't do. Arieana is doing well, and is looking forward to summer, and swimming. Braedyn is turning into quite the big boy, he wants to open his own door and wipe his own butt. This isn't necessarily a good thing, let's just say he misses some spots...Shadow is growing like a weed, and is really starting to be a lot of fun for the kids. I think he's even grown a little on Aaron( just don't tell him i told you)...We have started looking at some houses, and the plan is to be in our own house by the end of summer. That's about it :)

The newest member of our family...

On saturday our neighbor called and said she had found a small kitten in the parking lot of Wal-mart, and wanted to know if we could provide it a home. At first I was a little hesitant, because we didn't know anything about the little guy. But after seeing him, he was just way to cute to not take home. Arieana and Braedyn fell in love, and were excited to have another kitty to love. Now Aaron on the other hand is not so happy, let's just say that I'm on the shit list... After several conflicts over the name, we finally decided on Shadow. I figured since he likes lloking at himself in the mirror, and chases after his shadow it was only appropriate.. After a check up with the Vet, I am pleased to say that he is very healthy. He is 8 weeks old, and weights 2.2 pounds. The kids love him, and he has brought back something to our home that we had been missing since Puss came up missing....A pet to love....

Awesome 3000

Arieana competed in her third year of awesome 3000, which is a city track meet. There are over 2,000 kids that run, and it is broken up by grade. She ran 300 meters, and made it to the finish line. She had to run a little further than last year, which she noticed. We are very proud of her giving it her all, and not giving up.. Way to go Poody

Another Surgery
Braedyn had yet another surgery today to remove a mass that has been growing under his chin since birth. The mass was originally thought to be a Thyroglossal Duct Cyst, however after the removal of the Cyst it is thought to be a Dermoid Cyst. The cyst is being biopsed and we should have the results within a week. Braedyn did very well considering he just had surgery two months ago. He has a incision under his chin, with some stitches that will dissolve in a few weeks. He is doing very well, and is pretty much back to himself. I must say it was extremely hard seeing him with the face mask on, and all kinds of tubes and cords hanging on him. It makes me truly appreciate that all of my children have overall been healthy, and happy.

Happy Anniversary

Here we are nine years later, still standing together as a team. Who would have thought when we said our vows that our lives would become so complex. At times it seems we can never "get a break", and life is throwing yet another curve ball our way. We have managed to support each other through pregnancy, college, lay offs, death, and family hardhips, only to become stronger as a couple. I feel we have both grown as individuals, as well as partners. Even after nine years you are still the one I call first to share exciting news, or to when i need to vent. It is your touch that still makes my heart skip a beat, and the person who warms my cold feet. I am thankful everyday that you were brought my way, and that we are in this journey called life together. I love you Aaron, and can't wait to see what life throws at us next. Love your wife

Gotta love the 90's

While visiting my sister this week, we went through some pictures she had. I discovered my eighth grade class picture, and thought is was to funny to not share. My tenth grade picture was so bad I am choosing to not share it here, let's just say really bad 90's hair..

Put your stunner shades on

Braedyn decided he needed a pair of shades, so after a trip to Target he was very eager to wear the new shades. He didn't even want to take them off while eating some dinner.. The big bro told him how to pose like a "big dog".

Got to meet the little guy
Last saturday we drove to Portland to meet up with my sister and her family. It was my first time getting to meet my nephew, and he is very cute.. The kids loved him, Braedyn was a little nervous about him but quickly grew very attached to "baby Zach". I can't wait to spend some more time with him at the end of the month, when we go to Seattle.

Busy, Busy
Well I thought I would give a family update, since I haven't posted anything in awhile. Aaron and I have been busy with work, and trying to keep up with the kiddos. Arieana has been very busy with slumber parties, and birtday parties that it seems she has a more exciting social life than myself. Aaron is back at Flag Football, and is excited to get back at playing. Darian is busy trying to catch up on school work, and enjoy his new Nintendo DS. Braedyn is trying to figure out how to pedal a bike, and is making a little progress. I am sad to say that I will be turning 31 in a few weeks, and I am not willing to accept it..31 seems so much older than 30, it's like the year just flew by.
